Meet your 2008-9 Council - Currently being updated
We are all parents who are interested in making our children's learning experience at
MPS the best it can be. Each year, a new Council is elected the first meeting in September
and serve until the subsequent year's election.
We are here to serve you, so feel free to contact us at any time to
express a concern, ask a question, or simply to let us know if you think we're doing a good job!
M.P.S Council Programs
Council augments the formal school program by delivering our own programs and
financial support throughout the year. All funds raised by Council are redistributed
back into the school.
Please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions about any of these programs or
would like to propose a additional ones.

Hot Lunch Program
|
Every Friday participating students receive hot dogs, pizza, or their choice of hot potato,
caesar salad or pitas on a rotating basis. This program is very popular with our students.
We always need volunteers to help make this program successful. If you want to help out with
the lunch program, contact our volunteer coordinator Heather Jeffery

Jingle Bell Bazaar
|
Our annual Christmas bazaar has become an institution at M.P.S and is
particularly enjoyed by our younger students who get to surprise family members with gifts
they pick out on their own. Older students help run the Bazaar with activities such as manning
tables and wrapping the gifts and our volunteers have a blast too!
We always need volunteers for this program. If you can help with the Jingle Bell Bazaar,
contact our volunteer coordinator Heather Jeffery

2008-9 Goals
Upgrade School Library:
This year we continue to upgrade the library.
2007-8 Goals
Upgrade School Library:
Upgrade Library – This year we helped upgrade the library.
2006-7 Goals
New Play Structure:
This year we continue to work towards a new play structure for our students and the community.
2005-6 Goals
New Play Structure:
It was brought to our attention that the current play structure at MPS is old and worn,
it has run it's course and will be removed at the end of this year.
Council does not want our children to be without a play structure.
We don't want our community without a place
for little ones to play. DO YOU?
Please support us in our battle to raise funds towards a new play structure at MPS.
