Just a quick question in regards to the Council Web Site, has this Council decided not to use this tool that we purchased as a means of notifying the parents of the Council activities and or the minutes of previous meetings? It seem that the information on the site is normally old and outdated thus parents have no idea of what is going on?

Reply from Webmaster and secretary - I can only speak on my behalf as webmaster of the site but I have not yet received any updates or information to be added to the site. If a council member wishes for something to be added to the site then it will be added but at this time I have received nothing since what has been updated on the site.
From the secretarial point of view for the minutes they are added as they are approved. If they are slow at being added it is because I have a lot on my plate and haven't gotten to it yet. Any outstanding minutes will be added later today or tomorrow as I have chance.
It has been brought up to council in the past and has been again this month. Council will be losing it's current webmaster thus they must decide what should be done with the site. That decision is currently pending.
Reply from the chair - we will be looking at other ways to inform parents and keep then updated next year.

As usual as an interested parents we have reviewed the November 2007 minutes and was curious when does Council expect to have the minutes of the December 18th, 2007 Council Meeting posted? Also, was the January meeting held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month (last night)as the header on the Council Web Site states that the next meeting is January 2008 with no exact date, if this is the case my first question is answered (there has not been time to post the December Minutes). Thanks in advance.

Reply from Secretary -There are no minutes for a December meeting as the meeting was cancelled.
The January meeting was held on the first Tuesday of the month (as noted on the header) to coincide with the teachers meeting also held that same night. This was a decission made by last year's council. The lack of an exact date was an oversight of the webmaster as the header did say the first Tuesday thus it was believed an exact date was not necessary. In future the exact date will be written.The first Tuesday of January would have been the 8th.
